In 2025, the Malaysia and Singapore Vintage Car Register (MSVCR) marks its 70th anniversary — a major milestone for one of the region’s longest-running vintage car clubs.
The MSVCR began in 1955, formed by a small group of enthusiasts who wanted to preserve and enjoy vintage motorcars.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary, the club has planned a full year of events. These include a special commemorative drive tracing historic routes, a gala dinner to recognise long-serving members, and a limited-edition publication capturing highlights from the club’s history.
You don’t need to own a car to join the MSVCR — just an interest in vintage & classic motoring. Club rules allow vehicles 20 years and older to participate in events, so many modern classics now qualify.
